What is Cryptocurrency?

  A cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography for security and operates independently of a central bank. It uses decentralized technology for secure payments and storing money, and operates on a peer-to-peer network. Examples include Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. How does Cryptocurrency Work? Cryptocurrency works by utilizing blockchain technology, a decentralized ledger that records all transactions made with the currency. Transactions are verified by network nodes through cryptography and are recorded on a public ledger called a blockchain. Each block in the chain contains a unique code called a "hash" that connects it to the previous block, and together they form a secure and unalterable record of all transactions.
